Safety First
The safety and well-being of our children, staff, and visitors is our top priority. We have implemented a number of safety measures to ensure that our school is a secure and safe environment for everyone. We also encourage parents and our children to report any safety concerns to the school office or to a trusted adult.

Arriving at School
Arriving at school on time and ready to learn is an important part of your child's education. At Fomba Glorious, we understand that getting to school can be a challenge for some families, and we strive to make the process as smooth as possible.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when planning for your child's arrival at school:

School hours: Our school doors open at 7:30 am and classes begin at 8:00 am. Children should be in their classrooms and ready to begin the day by 8:00 am.

Transportation: If your child takes the bus, it is important to check the schedule and plan to arrive at the bus stop a few minutes early. If you drive your child to school, please be aware of traffic and plan accordingly.

Drop-off and pick-up: If you drop off or pick up your child at school, please follow the traffic and parking guidelines. For the safety of all kids, please do not drop off or pick up your child in a moving vehicle.

Late arrivals: If your child is running late, please call the school office to let us know. kids who arrive after 8:00 am will be marked late and will need to check in at the office.

We understand that things can happen that may cause you to be late, but we encourage you to make every effort to have your child at school on time. Being on time and ready to learn is an important part of your child's education and sets the tone for a successful day.

Uniform
At Fomba Glorious, we believe that a uniform dress code promotes a sense of unity and pride among our kids. It also helps to create a more focused and serious learning environment. Our uniform policy is designed to be simple, affordable, and easy to follow.

The uniform at Fomba Glorious consists of:

sky blue short sleeved collared shirt over a black, shorts, or skirts (knee-length not longer)

Closed-toe black shoes (sneakers not acceptable)

Navy blue sweater for chilly days

White socks (multicolored not acceptable)

Uniforms can be purchased at local retailers and school bookstore. We recommend that you purchase several sets of uniforms so that your child always has a clean set to wear.

The school has a no-logo policy, which means that clothing should not have any branding or logos other than the school logo. Jewelry, hairstyles for the nursery should be modest and should not disrupt the learning environment.

We understand that there may be special circumstances that may make it difficult for some families to purchase uniforms, in such case please reach out to the school office for assistance.

We expect all children to be in full uniform every day. Kids who are not in proper uniform will be asked to change into appropriate uniforms or to call home for a change.

Holidays & Absence
At Fomba Glorious, we understand that there may be times when your child needs to be absent from school. We ask that you please inform the school office in advance if your child will be absent and provide a reason for the absence.

When your child is absent, it is important that they make up any missed work. Teachers will provide assignments and work to be completed during the absence. The school office will also provide you with information about any upcoming tests or quizzes that your child may have missed.

We also understand that there may be religious or cultural holidays that may require your child to be absent from school. If you know in advance that your child will be absent for a religious or cultural holiday, please inform the school office as soon as possible. The school will work with you to ensure that your child is able to make up any missed work.

We also request that you refrain from scheduling family vacations or other non-essential absences during the school year, as it can disrupt the continuity of the learning process for your child and the class as a whole.

We understand that there may be extenuating circumstances that may require your child to miss school, in such cases please reach out to the school office for assistance.

School snacks
At Fomba Glorious, we understand the importance of providing nutritious and delicious snacks to our children. Our school menu / snacks are designed to provide a balance of healthy options that meet the dietary needs of all our kids.

We also understand that some kids may have specific dietary needs due to allergies or other medical conditions. We are happy to accommodate these needs and request that you inform the school office if your child has any special dietary requirements.
